Day 3

It's been a while since I've added anything, mainly due to my efforts to make my home office into more of a personal place for work and reflection. I hope to be more consistent in my additions to this blog. Actually, I view this as more of a diary.

Day 2

Well, it's been quite a few days since I started day one of this thing. Not that I haven't been thinking about all the changes in my life right now. I think it is because this is a holiday season and I am accustomed to having the time off from work, along with my wife. So, it really isn't a lot different than any other year at Christmas and New Year's time.

I am projecting that, when school resumes on January 3, I will get a jolt of what not going back will be like. In the mean time, I'm doing what I would do during any other holiday break. Thinking about family, enjoying some free time, etc. All those "projects" that I anticipate working on will wait until my sick leave actually begins.

Day 1

Now that I am looking at an extended sick leave with subsequent disability retirement, it seems appropriate that I would document my thoughts, aspirations, and concerns. Feels good to write it out.
